The Numbers Don’t Lie!

I have been asked several times about vinyl windows and why vinyl.  I will give you a few reasons why vinyl windows are more popular than framing materials like wood, aluminum, or firberglass:

Strength – impact resistance, stable, durable, welded corners, design quality.

Appearance – simple, clean looking, maintains consistent color, stays smooth.

Time Saver – easy to install and easy to maintain.  (Hire a professional for the installation due to the warranty provisions of the manufacture).

Energy Efficient – multi chamber extrusions form insulation air spaces or they can be foam filled, when measuring the rate of heat flow through a window; vinyl performs as well or better than framing materials like wood, aluminum, or fiberglass.

Vinyl replacement windows are a nice looking window that will fit any budget, are often available in many designs, can be easily customized, and will stand up to a variety of weather and climates.  Just how popular are vinyl windows?  Well the proof is in the numbers:  According to Window & Door, since 2006 vinyl windows have been purchased more than wood, aluminum, and fiberglass combined.  Last years window statistics are staggering.  In 2012 there were 25.7 million windows shipped as compared to 11.47 million windows shipped of the other materials.  “Vinyl continues to dominate the residential market, holding 69 percent market share as it continues to take share from wood.”  Source AAMA/WDMA 2012/2013 US Industry Statical Review and Forcast.

The bottom line, Manning Windows LLC wants your business and we want to meet with you in your home to consult with your family on options that will meet your family’s budget.  We are not into hire pressure sales tactics.  We will be straight forward with you and give your our best price, the first time every time.  Remember Manning Windows, “SAVINGS YOU CAN SEE!”

Is it time to replace your windows?

How do I know if I should replace my home’s windows?  There are a couple of things to consider when inspecting your own windows.  Do you have condensation build up between the panes of glass or do your windows sweat a lot?  Do you have single pane instead of double pane windows?  Do you have trouble opening and closing your windows and do they seal properly when closed?  Do you have old rotten wood windows or outdated aluminium or contractor grade windows?  Are you only able to open one sash of the window?  If you answered yes to any of these questions your next step will be to call or email us for a free in home consultation and receive a free estimate!

Why choose Manning Windows for your next purchase?  Because Manning Windows is a member of the Quality Contractor Network sponsored by TVA’s energyright solutions program.  What does that mean for you?  When you purchase your windows from Manning Windows you will be eligible to receive up to $500 rebate once your windows are installed.  Call David or Troy today and ask them about this program.  I am sure they would love to help you with your $500 rebate.

What is the NFRC?  The National Fenestration Rating Council is the governing body that provides information on how a window performs.  The two most important energy ratings are U-factor and Solar Heat Gain.

U Value is the amount of heat transmitted by the window.  The lower the number, the more efficient the window is in reducing winter heating cost.

Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) measures how well a window blocks heat from the sunlight coming through the glass.  The lower a window’s SHGC, the less solar heat it transmits.

The overall window performance that NFRC has completed on Vinly Kraft Windows, Double Pane eK2 Glass With Argon Gas Fill and the Super Spacer = U Value .28 and SHGC Value .28

The overall window performance that NFRC has completed on Vinly Kraft Widows, Double Pane eK366 Glass With Argon Gas Fill and the Super Spacer = U Value .28 and SHGC Value .21
